There was a problem filtering reviews right now. No problems! It's just awkward. The driving schools. Good idea but making it a requirement shouldn't be necessary. Lots of wasted time. Even though, I noticed that the number of attempts for races was rather low, for me.
It may be due to this. Why do I say that? The whole wonder of TDU 1 was the lack of a defined structure upon which you had to progress. In this game, they took TDU 1 and put it in a cage. What a disappointment. The Interface. The menus, everything, looks uglier in this game than in the first, which looked more like vacation. Orange is not Weather and Time of day. For all the cycle system and all TDU 1 had some spectacular views with its sky animation.
This one is more sophisticated but somehow doesn't deliver those results. Bookmarks aren't allowed off-road. So what's the point of the paved runways? I wouldn't pay a dime more, though. Life is too good to be sitting around "driving" on an "island" in what is actually your bedroom in your home country or state. One person found this helpful. Environmentally Conscious Bargain Shopper. I bought this game when I had an early core i5 computer first gen with clock speed of 2.
Even though that computer had a radeon the game was barely playable and the physics of the car were slow and made it no fun. I have now installed it on my new core i7 laptop which has just a intel graphics card and it runs much better. This makes me think this game is more processor than graphics card dependent. It is leaps and bounds a different game and much more fun. Getting the physics to run right on a fast processor and I also think Atari made some updates to it that smoothed out car response because it was too overly sensitive with the steering.
Now its a great game. Absolutely incredible. Almost no need to get that new playstation 4 I keep dreaming about. The game is quite fun and really sets itself apart by being open world where you actually own the car you purchase and own homes, clothing and such.
It attempts to show the lifestyle often associated with owning these automobiles and gives it a more personal experience when driving "your" supercar.
It also allows basic tuning of vehicles to make them more potent racers and allows decent contact with other players for racing and showing off. With all of this it does fall short though.
Firstly, the challenges can be quite difficult and tedious, particularly the license challenges, which is frustrating. This is compounded by the actual handling of most of the vehicles which is not exactly good nor is the actual exhaust notes of the engines, which for me is very important.
After finishing the challenges, making money becomes difficult seeing as payouts are very small for redoing races and such.
